Bridge Designer

Career Area: CAD / BIM
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop models and documents from project objectives, requirements, and design approaches.
- Obtain project information and ensure drawings are accurate and complete.
- Plan presentations of complex design features that may differ from established standards.
- Provide seasoned recommendations for design solutions.
- Communicate with clients and attend client meetings.
- Review and critique drawings and provide a quality check on others' work.
- Prepare cost and quantity estimates.
- Perform design calculations.
- Lead design work of others and mentor less experienced designers and EITs.
Education & Experience Qualifications:
- Two-year degree in Engineering Technology, Computer Drafting, Surveying, or equivalent with 6 years of relevant experience.
- Apply seasoned knowledge through progressive experience to resolve issues.
- Extensive knowledge of AutoCad, Microstation, and other essential equipment for field and office work.
- Provide resourcefulness and initiative to perform projects.
- Meet timeliness, quality, and budget requirements.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to meet goals set within the Business Unit.

- Meet physical demands of the job, including walking, sitting, and standing.
