Job Description

The Pediatric Nurse Specialist will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients. This includes conducting nursing assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and providing education to patients and their families.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting thorough nursing assessments to identify patient needs and develop effective care plans.
  • Providing high-quality patient care that meets the highest standards of excellence.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Documenting patient care in accordance with established standards and policies.
  • Administering medications safely and effectively, adhering to professional standards and guidelines.
  • Transcribing and implementing physician orders in a timely and accurate manner.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • A degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric nursing, with a preference for those with BSN degrees.
  • A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
