Pediatric Critical Care Specialist

Job Summary
We are looking for a highly qualified and compassionate Pediatric Critical Care Specialist to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric critical care, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Conducting comprehensive physical exams to diagnose illnesses and develop patient care plans
- Prescribing medication and performing therapeutic interventions to promote optimal patient outcomes
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions
- Providing patient education on health promotion and disease prevention to empower patients and their families
- Maintaining accurate and detailed patient medical records to inform care decisions
- Providing routine follow-up care and monitoring chronic conditions to optimize patient well-being
- Administering diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to diagnose and treat illnesses
- Interpreting test results to inform care decisions and optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must possess:
- An active and unencumbered nurse practitioner (NP) license in the state of practice (Aya Locums can assist with obtaining a new license if needed)
- National NP certification in a pediatric specialty from an accredited organization
- No flagged or under investigation licenses
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree and a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from an accredited program (required by 2025)

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 per year, based on national averages and industry standards.
