Role Overview
As a Robotics System Integration Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to deploy Gideon's robotic solutions within client environments, alongside offering both technical and functional support. We seek a proactive problem-solver who can instill confidence in our clients. Collaboration with partners, customers, and internal teams will be essential to ensure the effective integration of our autonomous mobile robotic systems in logistics, warehousing, and manufacturing settings.
Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time to various project sites is required.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct installation and commissioning of mobile robots at client locations, oversee deployments, and troubleshoot issues.
- Manage the integration of robotic systems, encompassing both hardware and software components, to guarantee smooth and efficient operations.
- Diagnose and resolve challenges related to system integration, performance, and functionality.
- Provide both on-site and remote technical support and troubleshooting.
- Configure and implement Gideon's autonomy stack on industrial vehicles and mobile robots.
- Create tools to facilitate the scaling of deployments across numerous units.
- Install and set up a Linux-based operating system.
- Demonstrate systems at Gideon's testing facilities and client sites.
- Collaborate with Gideon's Engineering, Product, and Quality Assurance teams based on client feedback for product testing and troubleshooting.
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with internal engineering teams.
- BSc or MSc in Software Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in robotic system integration or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience with Linux OS, Docker, and Git.
- Proficient in programming languages such as C++, Python, or Bash.
- Familiarity with hardware platforms and robotic sensors (cameras, lidars, ultrasonic, etc.).
- Ability to convey complex technical information and report issues effectively.
- Willingness to travel across the USA.
- A valid driver's license and passport.
- Interest in understanding the various components of our robotic systems (navigation, localization, computer vision, etc.).
- Familiarity with Robot Operating System (ROS).
