Nursing Department Manager

Arbors at Streetsboro is seeking an exceptional Nursing Department Manager to join their team. With a strong background in nursing and leadership, this individual will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the nursing department, ensuring that residents receive high-quality care. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in a supervisory role, with experience in long-term care environments. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree is preferred, and current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of employment is required. A valid LPN license may also be acceptable if not an RN.
This position comes with a competitive salary of approximately $93,000 per year, based on industry standards and location. In addition to the base salary, a $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as pet insurance options and a 401(k) retirement program.
In this role, the Nursing Department Manager will oversee the supervision of nursing staff, ensuring that they are adequately trained and equipped to provide exceptional care. They will also act as liaison between nursing units, admissions, and the Director of Nursing, facilitating communication and resolving any issues that may arise. This includes monitoring weekly and monthly weights, evaluating nursing staff performance, and making recommendations for training or work modification.
The Nursing Department Manager will also assist in preparing departmental budgets, monitor meals and breaks to ensure compliance by staff, and perform other tasks as assigned by the Director of Nursing. This role requires strong organizational and prioritization skills, as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality and react decisively in emergency situations.
