Job Opportunity

California State University is seeking a highly qualified tenure-track faculty member to join the Department of Accounting in the Nazarian College of Business and Economics.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Taxation and related fields, as well as participating in assessment of student learning, service to the department, college, and university.

Responsibilities
  • Teach Taxation and related fields
  • Participate in assessment of student learning
  • Provide service to the department, college, and university
Requirements
  • Ph.D. or DBA in Accounting or related field from an AACSB-accredited institution
  • Evidence of excellence in university-level teaching
  • Potential or evidence of excellence in scholarship through publication in high quality journals
Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant prior professional/business work experience in the field, preferably in taxation
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) at the time of appointment or Enrolled Agent (EA)
  • Evidence of effective engagement or potential to engage with and mentor a diverse student body
