Job Overview

OBJECTIVE

To design and execute a dynamic curriculum and classroom atmosphere that fosters student engagement and personal development. Create stimulating lesson plans that adhere to established educational standards. Forge meaningful relationships with students, faculty, and families. Motivate students to develop essential skills, positive mindsets, and foundational knowledge tailored to their individual capabilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Teaching and Learning Duties

  • Delivers lessons consistent with the institution's educational philosophy and goals.
  • Creates intentional lesson plans aimed at maximizing teaching effectiveness and learning opportunities.
  • Involves students through practical examples and varied educational experiences.
  • Analyzes student performance data to customize instruction and maintain precise academic records.
  • Employs diverse instructional strategies and modifies lessons to accommodate various learning preferences.
  • Conducts continuous evaluations of student progress and keeps current academic records.
  • Recognizes student strengths and areas for improvement, providing appropriate activities and feedback.
  • Directs students needing additional support to relevant resources.
  • Assigns and assesses homework, facilitates student presentations, and organizes educational excursions.
  • Prepares students for state-mandated assessments.
  • Stays updated on subject matter and educational methodologies to enhance curriculum delivery.
  • Contributes to curriculum revisions and aids in selecting educational materials.
  • Investigates supplementary services to enrich classroom experiences.

Learning Environment

  • Establishes a supportive learning space that reflects students' interests and developmental stages.
  • Maintains a positive rapport with students, providing encouragement and guidance.
  • Ensures a tidy, secure classroom that showcases student achievements appropriately.
  • Implements behavior management policies and maintains classroom discipline impartially.

Curriculum Development

  • Crafts lesson plans that align with educational objectives and student requirements.
  • Prepares meticulously for lessons and collaborates on curriculum design.
  • Incorporates diagnostic insights for students with specialized educational needs.
  • Safeguards necessary teaching materials and resources for effective instruction.

Community Engagement

  • Fosters positive interactions and communicates effectively with parents and the wider community.
  • Collaborates with peers and administration while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Participates in parent involvement initiatives and extracurricular programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Clear background check results.
  • Effective instructional and communication skills.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Office-based work with occasional travel requirements.
  • Light physical demands within and outside the state.

EMPLOYMENT TERMS

Salary and benefits are in accordance with institutional policies. Work schedule determined by Henderson Hammock Charter.

FLSA OVERTIME CATEGORY

Exempt from overtime as per regulations.

PERFORMANCE EVALUATION
