MGT is in search of a seasoned education professional to provide guidance and leadership as the Science Instructional Leader on the MGT School Turnaround team in Hillsborough County, Florida. The Science Instructional Leader will offer coaching, planning, and pedagogical support to educators in the science domain, as well as mentor school-based coaches and collaborate with district coaches. A successful candidate will possess a profound understanding of science content, state standards, and data analysis, along with a background in teaching and coaching.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

In this role, you will:
  • Enhance understanding of standards and student performance expectations at educational institutions
  • Facilitate the development of scaffolded instructional strategies
  • Lead data analysis and utilize findings to inform targeted instruction in the content area
  • Model effective lessons and instructional techniques
  • Provide research-backed resources to foster engaging classroom instruction
  • Guide educators in creating instructional plans, pacing lessons, and implementing differentiated instruction using effective coaching methods
  • Design and conduct professional development sessions for educators and staff
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports summarizing activities
  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of products and processes that support our mission
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. Science endorsement or specialist degree in Science preferred
  • Strong comprehension and proven instructional experience in science subject matter
  • A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience coaching educators, coaches, or leading adult learning
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with team members and clients
  • Capability to identify and implement strategies that enhance individual and group productivity and content mastery
  • Excellent listening, observation, reading, verbal, nonverbal, and written communication skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment
  • Willingness to travel 4-5 days a week to client and/or school sites within Hillsborough County, Florida
