Job Summary:

As a licensed mental health therapist at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive mental health services to our members. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of mental health conditions. Your expertise will be essential in developing and implementing effective treatment plans, providing individual, family, and group therapy, and ensuring seamless care coordination.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments and diagnoses of members' mental health needs, developing personalized treatment plans that address their unique circumstances.
  • Provide evidence-based psychotherapy services, including individual, family, and group therapy, to promote mental health and well-being.
  • Collaborate with treating physicians, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and optimal outcomes.
  • Develop and lead psychoeducational classes and groups to promote mental health awareness and education.
  • Participate in departmental program development, implementation, and evaluation to continuously improve mental health services.
  • Ensure compliance with state and NCQA regulations, maintaining accurate and confidential records of member treatment and progress.
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in Social Work, Social Welfare, Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (California) with Couples and Families Endorsement.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of DSM-V, social service agencies, state regulations, and professional board standards.
  • Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous post-license experience as a member of a psychiatric treatment team in an outpatient or inpatient setting.
  • Experience in crisis intervention, individual and group psychotherapy, and behavioral medicine.
  • Commitment to quality of service, teamwork, and participation in a highly interactive multidisciplinary clinic.
