Salary:
$65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Grief Support Specialist to provide bereavement services to our patients and their loved ones. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the grief process and be able to create a safe and supportive environment for those experiencing loss.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the needs of the bereaved and develop personalized bereavement plans.
- Facilitate support groups and individual counseling sessions to help individuals cope with grief.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Provide education and resources to patients and their families on end-of-life issues and grief management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human services field such as social work, psychology, or counseling.
- Experience working with individuals and groups in a hospice or palliative care setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
