Position Overview

The Automation Specialist will primarily engage with DCS or PLC systems, providing support to clients in their process plant operations.


Key Responsibilities
To excel in this position, the individual must successfully fulfill the following essential duties:
  • Possess foundational knowledge in process controls, including the ability to identify process parameters, variables, and potential hazards.
  • Understand P&ID diagrams and instrumentation/control equipment within an industrial setting.
  • Demonstrate basic knowledge of control methodologies, both analog and discrete, and the critical components necessary for developing sustainable control algorithms.
  • Implement control strategies on DCS, PLC, or HMI platforms, with a fundamental understanding of the relevant programming languages.
  • Be knowledgeable about control system architecture, encompassing hardware, software, instrumentation, and networking components.
  • Have a basic understanding of advanced analog control systems.
  • Exhibit experience in an industrial environment, including loop checking, startup procedures, troubleshooting, and commissioning support.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in interpreting control panel drawings and understanding panel functionality.
