Job Title: Senior Automation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Engineer to join our team at Direct Companies. As a key member of our automation team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems for various industrial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop software applications for control systems based on given requirements and specifications.
  • Develop machine control algorithms for PLC-based systems, DCS systems, HMI design and implementation, instrumentation and sensor interface, data logging, and communication interfaces with other industrial processors.
  • Generate design documentation, PLC code, HMI applications, Bill of Materials, Network Architectures, One Line Drawing, Operations manuals.
  • Sustain current applications and debug/fix issues reported in the field.
  • Lead commissioning and deployments, mentor junior engineers, and provide technical consulting to business stakeholders.
  • Maintain product safety in all designs and perform project deliverables under general supervision while adhering to scope, schedule, and budget constraints.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a bachelor's or technical degree required.
  • 3 to 5 years of previous experience, preferably with Siemens PCS7.
  • Process engineering experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of management, clients, and vendors.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams to successfully complete projects.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Project management experience.
  • Exhibits a high level of initiative and resourcefulness.
  • Excellent customer service and teamwork skills.
  • Travel of up to 30%.
