MVS operates as a multi-specialty and emergency center, catering to over 2000 veterinarians across multiple states.

Two on-site CT scanners, digital radiography, endoscopy, ultrasound, and an I-131 treatment area

Key Competencies:

Clinical Expertise:
Exhibit clinical proficiency in evaluating and diagnosing animals. Conduct thorough cardiovascular, respiratory, orthopedic, neurological, and other essential examinations. Diagnose and recommend suitable treatments.

Analytical Skills:
Ability to devise solutions to challenges associated with managing a high-quality veterinary practice.

Effective Communication:
Clearly convey diagnostic and therapeutic options to clients. Maintain effective communication with internal medical and hospital personnel.

Professional Conduct:

Collaborate as part of a high-caliber, professional veterinary team, with the capacity to provide and receive constructive feedback and suggestions.


Business Insight:
Understanding of the management and financial aspects of the veterinary practice.

Ethical Standards:
Awareness and comprehension of ethical principles guiding decisions impacting patients.

Commitment to Ongoing Education:
Dedication to utilizing available continuing education resources and facilitating the learning of others.

Qualifications:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.

Current State Veterinary License.

DEA registration must be obtained and maintained.

Minimum of five years of experience in a veterinary practice.

Experience supervising Veterinary Technicians and Assistants, as well as other hospital or practice staff.

Must show a commitment to ongoing learning in veterinary care and participate in staff training initiatives.

Position Knowledge and Skill Requirements:


Excellent communication abilities, ensuring effective, efficient, and timely interactions with all members of the Medical and Hospital staff.

Client communication skills, capable of gathering information, establishing rapport, and providing explanations to pet owners.

Display confidence and reassurance when addressing pets in distress, illness, or pain.

May involve some climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.

Some tasks may require the periodic performance of moderately physically demanding work.

Position necessitates the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
