Key Responsibilities

The role of a kennel staff member encompasses various tasks, including:

  • Engaging with clients during the check-in and check-out process
  • Maintaining cleanliness in the kennels, addressing all aspects of hygiene
  • Providing food, water, exercise, and playtime for both dogs and cats
  • Bathing and grooming dogs as needed
  • Conducting general cleaning duties
  • Upholding a positive demeanor towards clients, colleagues, and all animals
  • Collaborating with veterinary staff to ensure optimal care for all animals
  • Participating in playtime and socialization activities with the pets
  • Supervising larger playgroups to ensure safety and enjoyment
  • Exhibiting meticulous attention to detail in all tasks
Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:

  • A willingness to work on weekends and holidays as required
  • Some prior experience with animals is preferred, though a willingness to learn is essential
  • A genuine love and respect for all types of animals
  • The physical capability to lift at least 50 pounds
