Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will:
- Design steel structural systems for various industrial and semiconductor facilities, with an emphasis on equipment support and seismic design.
- Create comprehensive construction documents, including detailed drawings and specifications.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams, ensuring seamless integration of mechanical, electrical, and other engineering disciplines.
- Participate in client design review meetings, presenting innovative design strategies.
- Prepare specifications and technical reports as required.
Expectations:
We expect our candidates to possess:
- A solid understanding of current building codes, particularly IBC and local amendments, as well as ASCE7.
- Familiarity with common structural materials, especially steel, and relevant material-specific codes such as ACI and AISC.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Excellent technical writing abilities and organizational skills.
- A quick learning aptitude, particularly in engineering and construction concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and structural analysis software like RISA.
- A commitment to punctuality and a strong work ethic.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in structural engineering design.
- Experience with advanced technology and industrial clients is advantageous.
- EIT, PE, or SE registration is preferred.
