Xylem is seeking a Vice President for the Investor Relations division who will also take on the role of the CEO's Executive Operations Manager. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Investor Relations.
This executive will be accountable for implementing the investor relations strategy and overseeing external financial communications in partnership with the Investor Relations Officer (IRO). You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders throughout the organization to convey Xylem's investment narrative and educate the investment community, ensuring accurate representation and achieving a fair relative stock valuation. Additionally, you will work directly with the CEO as the Executive Operations Manager, overseeing the CEO's operational schedule, leading the preparation of essential materials for significant meetings and events, and facilitating the communication of the company's strategic vision both internally and externally.
The role's focus is approximately 60% on investor relations and 40% on executive operations, though this may vary throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities:
Investor Relations:
- Assist the IRO in managing quarterly earnings presentations and lead the preparation of related materials, including presentations, scripts, Q&A briefings, and press releases (in collaboration with the communications team).
- Coordinate other investor engagements throughout the year, such as investor conferences, meetings, site tours, annual shareholder outreach, and investor days.
- Effectively articulate Xylem's investment narrative, strategy, and financial performance to the investment community, ensuring consistency in all company communications.
- Prepare the executive team for investor conferences and other investor-related events.
- Monitor investor perceptions regarding market trends and manage investor/analyst expectations.
- Develop and implement strategies to attract new investors while maintaining relationships with existing ones.
- Collaborate with the sustainability team to enhance investor education on sustainability and ESG matters.
Executive Operations:
- Support the communication of the CEO's strategy with key stakeholders, including the Board of Directors, investors, and team members.
- Act as a strategic partner and collaborator to the CEO, leading preparation for key internal and external presentations and meetings.
- Oversee the CEO's operational schedule, including setting agendas for senior leadership meetings, drafting board updates, and ensuring alignment of the CEO's time with organizational priorities and strategy.
- Promote a high-impact culture that fosters innovation, accountability, and empowerment.
Qualifications:
- 7-10 years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience in finance, strategy, consulting, and communications is advantageous.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong influencing capabilities, with the ability to align and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Travel Requirements:
- Less than 25% travel (for quarterly earnings calls, investor conferences, and select leadership meetings).
Key Relationships:
- External: Investors, security analysts.
- Internal: IRO, CEO, CFO, other senior leadership, communications, FP&A and accounting, business leaders, sustainability.
Salary Range:
$127,000 - $229,500.00
