Pharmacist Job Description

At Ansible Government Solutions, LLC, we are seeking a highly skilled Registered Pharmacist to join our team at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) facility in Hines, IL.

Job Summary

We are looking for a talented pharmacist to support the CMOP mission by preparing prescriptions and packages in an accurate, timely, and cost-effective manner. As a Registered Pharmacist, you will be responsible for verifying prescription orders, assessing drug orders, and performing quality assurance functions.

Responsibilities
  • Verify prescription orders for legend, OTC, Medical Surgical, and Controlled Substances
  • Assess drug orders and cross-match with medication presented at checking stations
  • Pre-verify medications loaded into mechanical apparatus to dispense medications into prescription bottles
  • Complete verification and fill of controlled substance orders, including Schedules III, IV, and V
  • Perform Quality Assurance functions and supervision of Pharmacy Technicians
  • Follow CMOP policies regarding documentation and reports to meet VA and TJC policy
Qualifications
  • Licensed in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia
  • Graduate of an American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) accredited school or university
  • Licensed for controlled substances, with qualifications to practice in any states
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills with co-workers and staff
  • Basic typing skills, PC computer skills, and working knowledge of MS Office
  • Fluent in English, with ability to read, understand, speak, and write
