MAV Event Services, a leading provider of event management solutions, is on the lookout for dedicated and skilled individuals to become part of our security team. As a member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in maintaining safety and security during large-scale events, specifically at the Western Idaho Fair. Your responsibilities will include acting as security specialists, crowd controllers, and customer service representatives.

Your primary duties will encompass ensuring the safety of the general public, monitoring for any suspicious activities, and reporting concerns to supervisory personnel. We are in search of reliable and motivated candidates to join our Security and Event Services team, which is tasked with safeguarding all participants and enforcing regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety and security of all event attendees.
  • Conduct thorough screening of individuals entering the event venue.
  • Enforce regulations regarding alcohol consumption and verify legal age compliance.
  • Provide overnight security to protect assets and maintain a secure environment.
  • Respond effectively to incidents or emergencies, taking appropriate action.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in event security or crowd management is advantageous.

  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work various events throughout the year, in diverse weather conditions.

  • Successful completion of a background check is required.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Starting pay of $15 per hour, with bi-weekly payments.
  • Incremental raises based on hours worked, up to $18 per hour.
  • Flexible scheduling with various shifts available.
  • Participation in a company-matched Simple IRA investment plan.
  • Professional attire is required, with all-black clothing.
