Core Responsibilities
The Residential Support Specialist will be entrusted with a variety of essential duties, including but not limited to:
- Exhibiting a compassionate and empathetic demeanor.
- Administering medications and accompanying individuals to medical appointments.
- Managing household tasks such as cooking, laundry, and cleaning.
- Running errands and facilitating community engagement activities.
- Monitoring and supervising individuals, reporting any changes in their condition.
- Demonstrating the ability to lift weights up to 50 pounds.
- Exhibiting strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Implementing positive behavioral support strategies.
- Assisting with Habilitation objectives and daily living skills.
- Adhering to service plans and behavioral treatment plans.
- Maintaining daily documentation and organizational tasks.
- Participating in team meetings and required training sessions.
