Position Summary

The Manufacturing Process Engineer plays a pivotal role in the design and production of our innovative products. Collaborating closely with the General Manager, you will be instrumental in developing industry-relevant solutions that align with our company’s specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and review documentation, including routers and specifications essential for manufacturing, assembly, and testing of products.
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes and work instructions to ensure a seamless transition of customer products into production.
  • Assess travelers, work instructions, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) related to customer contracts.
  • Analyze work instructions, process maps, material specifications, customer drawings, and project workflows.
  • Inspect production equipment, tools, fixtures, and assembly lines to guarantee safe operation and minimize downtime.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and special projects aimed at enhancing efficiency in cable assembly production.
  • Utilize MRP/ERP software for managing bill of materials and routing instructions to support production activities.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify product trends within the industry.
  • Address inquiries and resolve issues raised by production and manufacturing team members.
  • Foster communication and collaboration with other managers and team leads.
  • Uphold company policies and safety practices diligently.
  • Participate in training, safety, and quality assurance programs.
  • Manage multiple projects effectively, demonstrating flexibility and the ability to perform under pressure.
  • Complete additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant experience; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong analytical and design capabilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Minimum of an Industrial Process Manufacturing or Electrical Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in electronic assembly is preferred.
  • Familiarity with IPC-620, IPC-610, J-STD-001D, and ISO9001 standards.
  • Knowledge of AS9000 / ISO Systems or government contracts is advantageous.
  • Ability to visualize theoretical models and design concepts.
  • Strong project management skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, capable of simplifying complex topics for broader audiences.
  • Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T) techniques.

Physical Requirements

The role requires good mobility, the ability to navigate between facilities, and the capacity to lift up to 30 lbs.
