CNC Machinist/Programmer

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer to join our team at DCX-CHOL Enterprises, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting project drawings, designing programs, and setting up machines to produce high-quality components.
Key Responsibilities- Modify and update existing CNC programs using Mazak software and manufacturing documentation.
- Provide programming support during inspection and ensure that manufactured parts meet specifications.
- Update CNC programs as needed and create new or update existing manufacturing process documentation.
- Assist with program issues or updates and provide programming shop support.
- Work with Engineers, Quality, and Production team members to resolve issues and improve manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with Manager and Engineering to design and implement methods for manufacturing complex parts.
- Read, interpret, and follow pass downs, work orders, drawings, and work instructions.
- Maintain and enforce 6S, AS9100, and standards and practices in the Machine Shop.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines is required.
- Comply with safety regulations for moving heavy objects and using machinery.
- Ensure work areas are clean and organized, free from Foreign Object Debris (FOD).
- 5+ years of Machining experience, with at least 2+ years of experience in editing CNC programs.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
- Experience with 3D modeling in CAD software and exporting/importing models is helpful.
- Strong knowledge of machining processes such as turning, milling, drilling, and tapping.
- Experience with MAZAK and programming in CAM software is helpful but not required.
- Understanding of fixture design, experience in selecting cutting tools, and boring lathe jaws.
This job operates in a professional office and production/machine shop environment. The physical demands include good mobility, ability to move between facilities, and lift 30lbs.
