Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled professional with a strong background in real estate closings, specifically on the title side. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring smooth transactions and compliance with all necessary requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Processing Purchase Agreements:
    • Manage the complete purchase file from initiation to closing.
    • Examine title binders to confirm all requirements are satisfied before closing.
    • Address basic title issues and collaborate with the Supervising Attorney on more complex legal matters.
    • Work alongside agents and seller settlement companies to gather essential documents for closing and secure approval on the final settlement statement.
    • Organize the receipt of seller documents ahead of closing.
    • Coordinate and schedule the closing with both the buyer and selling agent.
    • Export files and prepare checks for post-closing activities.
  • Managing Listing Files:
    • Oversee the entire seller file from initiation to closing.
    • Collaborate with agents and buyer settlement companies to obtain necessary documents for closing and the final settlement statement.
    • Draft seller documentation and Deeds.
    • Facilitate the closing process with the Seller.
    • Conduct the closing as required.
    • Notarize documents as necessary.
    • Send completed documents to the buyer settlement company for closing.
Essential Skills and Attributes:
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • A positive mindset with a readiness to learn new tasks, adapt to changes, and work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong motivation coupled with excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and adhere to deadlines.
  • A high level of interpersonal skills and tact to build and maintain effective working relationships.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a real estate closing environment, such as a law firm, title company, or mortgage company.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with Qualia and Acrobat Pro is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Experience in customer service and retail is considered a plus.
