Early Childhood Educator

The Infant Teacher is a key member of our team at Tabernacle of Praise Early Learning Center, responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for our youngest learners. As a seasoned professional in early childhood education, you will be responsible for developing and implementing curriculum, leading a team of educators, and ensuring the overall well-being of our infants.
Key Responsibilities- Curriculum Development: Design and implement developmentally appropriate activities and lesson plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth in our infants.
- Team Leadership: Lead by example, mentor, and coach a team of educators to ensure a cohesive and effective teaching environment.
- Communication: Maintain open and regular communication with parents through progress reports, parent-teacher conferences, and informal discussions.
- Classroom Management: Ensure a safe, healthy, and secure environment for our infants, including maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise and support teacher assistants and volunteers to ensure they are following planned activities and adhering to safety and hygiene standards.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, forms, and files.
- Professional Development: Stay current with best practices in early childhood education and maintain a personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
- Education: Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field of study with a minimum of 30 credits in ECE.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional child care experience.
- Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills, basic computer skills, and excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Certifications: Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
- Physical Demands: Ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat or crawl.
- Vision Requirements: Ability to see up close and up to a certain distance, to see colors, have peripheral vision and depth perception.
