Job Overview

Position: Production Technician

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Compensation: $25-28 per hour on W2

Shift Information

Shifts may vary between 5 x 8-hour, 4 x 10-hour, 3 x 12-hour, and 4 x 12-hour schedules.

Manufacturing operations run continuously, necessitating coverage for various shifts.

Specific shift assignments will be determined during the interview process.

Overtime pay is available: 10% extra for the second shift and 15% extra for the third shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate large-scale bioprocessing equipment for Cell Culture and Purification tasks.
  • Prepare Buffer and Media solutions as required.
  • Manage all aspects of processing, including equipment preparation, disassembly, assembly, cleaning, pressure testing, filter testing, and calibration of analytical instruments.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with process equipment and automated control systems.
  • Possess knowledge of biotech manufacturing processes and equipment, including cell culture, filtration techniques, chromatography, protein purification, and formulation.
  • Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures, batch records, and good documentation practices.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Role involves physically demanding tasks, including bending, reaching, climbing, kneeling, and making equipment connections.
  • Must be able to lift, push, or pull items weighing approximately 25 pounds regularly.
  • May require working in proximity to loud machinery.
  • Personal protective equipment will be necessary.
  • Availability for various shifts and off-hours is required.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a science-related field or engineering.
  • Associate's degree in a science-related field or Biotech certification with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a biotech manufacturing setting or similar regulated industry.
