Job Overview

A-Line Staffing Solutions is currently seeking a Licensed Pharmacy Technician. This role offers the opportunity to work with a leading organization in the healthcare sector, providing ample prospects for professional advancement. The position is full-time, requiring 40+ hours per week.

Compensation and Benefits

  • The hourly wage for this role is $18.00.
  • Full-time employees are eligible for benefits after a 90-day period.
  • A 401(k) plan with company matching is available for full-time staff after one year of service.

Position Highlights

  • This is a contract role with the potential for permanent placement based on attendance, performance, and business requirements.
  • Availability is required Monday through Friday, with shifts from either 9:00 am to 6:00 pm or 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Pharmacist in the preparation of prescription medications, in accordance with state regulations.
  • Input prescription details to generate accurate labels.
  • Ensure proper labeling of products, including necessary cautionary or auxiliary labels.
  • Manage inventory by taking stock, placing orders, receiving supplies, and removing expired items.
  • Enter patient information and medication orders into the pharmacy management system.
  • Prepare various forms of medications, including liquids, powders, and ointments.
  • Package medications for dispensing and delivery.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the IV room and ensure all equipment is sanitized.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with all clients.
  • Handle returned medications for credit or disposal.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
  • Adhere to the company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, policies, and applicable laws.
  • To succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill each essential duty satisfactorily.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Attendance is crucial during the initial 90 days of employment.
  • Must possess a Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Ohio.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a long-term care pharmacy or with intravenous (IV) preparations is preferred.
