Job Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
1. Serve as a key member of the Cath Lab procedure team, taking on roles such as circulator, scrub, or monitor.
2. Ensure patients are properly prepared for procedures, including timely collection of necessary medical histories.
3. Utilize critical thinking skills to assess patient conditions and administer medications, especially for critically ill patients.
4. Safely perform hemostasis with or without vascular devices.
5. Accurately enter patient orders and charges, ensuring meticulous record-keeping.
6. Provide care for critically ill patients, demonstrating the ability to work independently in high-pressure situations.
7. Educate patients and their families based on individual needs, documenting all educational interactions.
8. Guide families to the appropriate areas within the facility as needed.
9. Conduct point-of-care testing in accordance with established protocols.
10. Maintain a vigilant and safe working environment.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program or equivalent education.
- No prior experience is required.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent communication, standing, walking, and lifting of light objects (0-25 lbs).
- Occasional lifting of heavier objects (25-50 lbs) and patient mobility assistance.
Licensure and Certifications:
- Must hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
Work Environment:
This position typically operates during day shifts, contributing to a collaborative and supportive healthcare team.
