Under the direct supervision of the primary surgeon, the Surgical Technician I assists in the Operating Room by passing instruments, sutures, sponges, and supplies. This role requires effective communication and teamwork to ensure a smooth surgical experience.
Key Responsibilities- Assist surgeons in the Operating Room by passing instruments, sutures, sponges, and supplies.
- Perform job functions according to specific patient age and/or developmental needs.
- Work under the supervision of the circulating RN in the operating room suite.
- Demonstrate commitment to a patient and family-focused model of care.
- 1+ years' Operating Room experience in a variety of surgical specialties.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Completion of Operating Room Technician Training Course or equivalent.
- Current BLS from American Heart Association.
