About the Role

RQ Construction is seeking a highly skilled Construction Assistant Superintendent to join our Field Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting the Superintendent in overseeing the daily supervision, direction, and coordination of assigned construction work activities, employees, and subcontractors on a project jobsite.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Superintendent in ensuring the safe production of quality work, within project requirements, targeted budget, and schedule.
  • Oversee the daily supervision of construction work activities, employees, and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required; college courses in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Three or more years of work experience in a lead Foreman position, with a focus on scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, safety, and production of all phases in construction.
  • Three or more years of field or trade work experience in the construction industry, with a preference for government, military, or large commercial construction experience.
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Internet, required; training can be provided.
  • Specific software literacy, including Primavera 3/6, Viewpoint, BIM, and Revit, preferred; training can be provided.
  • CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour Certifications, EM-385, and STS required; training can be provided.
  • Spanish-English bilingual skills desirable; LEED GA Credential desirable.
