About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Engineer to join our team at Ford Motor Company. As a Product Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting our manufacturing processes and ensuring the quality of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support assembly plant with Stop Ships/Stop Builds, Campaigns, Audits, Root Cause Analysis and other Quality related tasks.
  • Lead engineering commodity changes for future minor product launches and lead cost reduction actions in current production vehicles.
  • Support Variability Reduction Team (VRT) for specific subsystems and work closely with Supplier partners for subsystem components to address quality concerns.
  • Lead engineering trials and the implementation of running changes for the sub-system -Issue engineering Alerts and initiate and/or pursue authorization of engineering Concerns for product changes to support Quality objectives.
  • Engage technical experts and functional team members for driving resolution and in developing corrective actions to improve product Quality.
  • Maintain sub-system or Vehicle Functional Group (VFG) level Quality documents (SAQ, Top 20 concerns).
  • Make presentations to various levels of upper management (weekly VRT report out, Vehicle Quality Reviews, Engineering Managers reviews).
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent technical degree.
  • Even better, you may have Six-Sigma Training (Black Belt or Green Belt Certification).
  • Ability in work in a fast-paced environment to support quick decision making.
  • Familiarity with CAD systems.
  • Any automotive experience.
