Position Overview

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding service to all guests at Chinook Winds Casino Resort while preparing and serving a variety of beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Your role is crucial in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional service to all patrons of the casino.
  • Receive drink orders from customers directly or through serving staff in the lounge and gaming areas.
  • Serve a selection of wines and bottled or draft beers.
  • Craft cocktails by mixing various ingredients, including spirits, mixers, and garnishes.
  • Provide food service to guests seated at the bar.
  • Utilize the Point of Sale (POS) system for processing transactions and managing payments.
  • Verify customer identification to ensure compliance with age restrictions for alcohol sales.
  • Maintain and replenish inventory of beverages, mixers, and bar supplies.
  • Guide customers through their experience from greeting to order fulfillment and payment collection.
  • Perform all necessary opening, closing, cleaning, and restocking duties at the end of each shift.
  • Monitor and manage product waste effectively.
  • Adhere to all relevant policies and procedures regarding alcohol service.
  • Set up and dismantle portable bar systems for special events.
  • Maintain knowledge of Chinook Winds Casino Resort's events, programs, and services to assist guests.
  • Contribute suggestions for enhancing service and operational processes.
  • Fulfill any additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Age Requirement: Candidates must be at least 21 years old.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED is preferred.

Minimum of two years of bartending experience or equivalent experience as a barback.

Technical Skills

Licenses and Certifications

Must obtain a gaming license and necessary permits prior to employment commencement.

Physical Requirements

  • Constantly standing and walking.
  • Frequent handling and reaching.
  • Occasional lifting of items weighing up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment

The role is set in a dynamic gaming environment, which may include exposure to smoke and elevated noise levels.

Working Conditions

Employment is contingent upon passing a drug screening and background check, along with completing an introductory period.

Compensation

Hourly wage plus tips.
