About the Role

The Risk Mitigation Consultant will be part of the Western Region Risk Mitigation Service Team and will assist the Risk Mitigation Services Leader with the development and implementation of loss control services and programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides telephonic consultation regarding risk management inquiries and questions
  • Assist in the development and implementation of risk management projects as assigned
  • Conducts clinical risk assessments
  • Produces tools and educational materials (e.g., modules, white papers, e-publications, webinars, and new best practices)
  • Reviews and revises as needed current firm risk management tools and products (e.g., HUD Risk Assessment Agreement)
  • Assists the technical team with questions regarding consultant report writing
  • Prepares custom setup letters, document lists, and report writing templates relating to on-site and desk-based services
  • Assists in the reviews of provider responses to the risk assessment recommendations
  • Conducts on-location risk assessments and desk-based services
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Knowledge of the healthcare environment
  • Above average knowledge of appropriate software – Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Friendly, well-organized, and enjoys interacting with people
  • Strong planning, organizational, and follow-up skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a timely manner consistently
  • Exhibits a drive to figure things out and initiative to take on new responsibilities as needed
  • Ability to ensure a culture of accountability, integrity, and respect through interpersonal skills

Education and Experience
  • A Bachelor's degree
  • At least five (5) years' experience in risk management
  • Experience with risk management tools/techniques
Additional Information
  • Fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • The starting pay is $80,215.00-$119,600 salary. Salary is negotiable upon time of offer
