Department Summary:

We are seeking a First Shift Lead Facilities Operations Supervisor to join our team. This role involves overseeing personnel or external contractors responsible for the construction, maintenance, and repair of utility systems, buildings, and equipment. While the primary focus will be on HVAC systems, supervision will also extend to Millwrights, Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Sheet Metal workers, Janitorial staff, and general maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver technical guidance to management and team members.
  • Provide leadership and oversight to trades personnel.
  • Conduct evaluations of HVAC/Mechanical systems and present recommendations to senior management, considering cost, scheduling, and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead teams by leveraging technical expertise to develop cost-effective solutions for complex challenges, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Work independently while fostering effective communication and collaboration with team members, management, security, EHS, and internal customers.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of five years of experience in HVAC/Mechanical system maintenance and installations, including Building Management Systems.
  • At least five years of leadership experience.
  • Proficiency in building infrastructure and technology, with the ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with Massachusetts and National Building codes.
Preferred Skills:
  • Possession of a current Massachusetts HVAC license.
  • Current Massachusetts Sheet Metal license.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with effective oral and written communication abilities.
  • Experience in consulting with management on building maintenance and construction matters.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Microsoft Projects, Maximo, Building Management Systems, and AutoCAD.
Experience and Education:
  • This position typically requires a bachelor's degree and a minimum of five years of experience in facilities maintenance, leading building infrastructure, and maintenance projects. Equivalent combinations of work experience, training, or certification in facilities maintenance may also be considered.
Work Authorization:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, as this position may require access to restricted systems and tools.
Security Clearance:
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a security clearance is required for this position.
Work Location: On-site role.
