Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Referral Specialist to join our team at Monadnock Family Services. This individual will serve as a gatekeeper for initial client interactions, gathering and maintaining accurate billing information and facilitating communication between clients, insurance companies, and therapists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain basic information from clients requesting clinical appointments and determine whether an emergency appointment is required or not.
  • Collaborate with the client, Billing Department, insurance companies, and therapists to collect available funds due for services rendered.
  • Perform duties under the supervision of the Team Leader to support administrative operations and clinical service delivery.
  • Organize office systems and procedures in an efficient and cost-effective manner in accordance with agency program policies.
  • Exercise good judgment in individual situations to determine action to be taken within agency and program policies, procedures, and standard practice.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three to five years of prior billing, bookkeeping, or collections experience.
  • Ability to write legibly and coherently, type and proofread accurately.
  • Good knowledge and use of English grammar as well as standard typing formats.
  • Ability to prioritize job responsibilities, make sound independent judgments, and refer matters appropriately to the Team Leader, clinical staff, or Director.
  • Desire to learn and ability to accept supervision professionally.
