Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement production plans to achieve both quality and output targets while optimizing resource utilization (labor, materials, equipment).
  • Provide guidance and direction to supervisors and associates to maintain operational efficiency and adherence to established procedures.
  • Participate in the hiring process by evaluating potential candidates for open positions within the glaze line team.
  • Conduct training programs for new employees on standard operating procedures and oversee their onboarding process.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure they consistently meet predetermined quality specifications and industry standards.
  • Establish, manage, and analyze budgets, records, and other control mechanisms to minimize costs while ensuring efficient operations.
  • Foster a safe and healthy work environment by implementing and enforcing safety protocols and maintaining an organized workspace.
  • Provide coaching and performance feedback to direct reports, fostering their professional development and growth.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of safety policies and procedures.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and basic computer skills.
  • Familiarity with ceramic manufacturing processes and quality control standards is highly advantageous.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in operations management, with 1-2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Prior experience within the ceramic tile industry is a plus.

Successful candidates will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, including active listening and conflict resolution abilities. They should also demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to effectively plan and schedule tasks.
