Fetal and Pediatric Cardiology Faculty Position

Position Overview:
The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is actively seeking a highly qualified individual for a faculty role in the Fetal and Cardiac Imaging section within the Division of Pediatric Cardiology.
Key Responsibilities:
This position offers opportunities for leadership in cardiac imaging, tailored to the candidate's expertise. Candidates should possess a minimum of three years of fellowship training in General Pediatric Cardiology, along with specialized training in Pediatric Echocardiography.
Qualifications:
Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in transthoracic, transesophageal, and fetal echocardiography. A strong dedication to patient care, education, and clinical research is essential. Candidates must be eligible for licensure in Texas and hold board certification in Pediatrics, with board eligibility or certification in Pediatric Cardiology.

The Pediatric Cardiology Division is committed to providing exceptional, high-quality care to children, advancing pediatric cardiology through innovative research, and educating future healthcare professionals in managing cardiac and cardiovascular disorders.
Clinical Environment:
Our division is one of the largest in the nation, comprising over 50 faculty members who lead well-established clinical and academic programs in various specialties, including interventional catheterization, electrophysiology, fetal cardiology, and the management of congenital heart disease.
Resources:
The primary clinical site is a leading children's hospital, equipped with a state-of-the-art echo lab that interprets over 14,000 echocardiograms annually. The Heart Center conducts over 400 index operations each year, supported by three catheterization laboratories performing more than 700 cardiac catheterizations and 120 pediatric electrophysiology cases.
Additional Facilities:
Our facilities include a telemetry unit, a Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, and a cardiac MRI facility, along with a robust outpatient cardiology program.
