About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at a reputable hospital in Carmel, Indiana. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare sterile operating rooms for surgeries
  • Sterilize equipment and instruments
  • Stock adequate supplies for surgery
  • Prepare patients for surgery by washing and disinfecting incision sites
  • Provide support during surgery by passing instruments and other supplies
  • Track surgical supplies
  • Stay up-to-date on surgical technology, medical terminology, and procedures
Requirements
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)
  • Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
  • The ability to stand for extended periods
  • Strong technical skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Passionate about patient care
