Job Summary

Healthcare Staffing Plus is seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures. Your expertise and attention to detail will make a significant difference in the lives of our patients.

Responsibilities

Prepare sterile operating rooms for surgeries
Sterilize equipment and instruments
Stock adequate supplies for surgery
Prepare patients for surgery by washing and disinfecting incision sites
Provide support during surgery by passing instruments and other supplies
Track surgical supplies
Stay up-to-date on surgical technology, medical terminology, and procedures

Requirements

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
The ability to stand for extended periods
Strong technical skills
Knowledge of medical terminology
Passionate about patient care
BLS Provider American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted
Graduate from a fully accredited certified Surgical Tech program
Minimum three years of Certified Surgical Tech experience
Active unencumbered Indiana state license

Skills and Abilities

Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills
Participates in relevant continuing education programs
Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients
Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise
