Job Title: Surgical Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Plus. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures.

Job Summary:

The Surgical Technologist will be responsible for preparing operating rooms for surgeries, sterilizing equipment and instruments, and stocking adequate supplies for surgery. You will also assist with patient preparation, provide support during surgery, and track surgical supplies.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare operating rooms for surgeries, including setting up equipment and instruments
  • Sterilize equipment and instruments to ensure asepsis
  • Stock adequate supplies for surgery, including linens, suture materials, and other necessary items
  • Assist with patient preparation, including washing and disinfecting incision sites
  • Provide support during surgery, including passing instruments and other supplies
  • Track surgical supplies, including inventory management and ordering
Requirements:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)
  • Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
  • The ability to stand for extended periods
  • Strong technical skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Passionate about patient care
Skills and Abilities:
  • Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills
  • Participates in relevant continuing education programs
  • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients
  • Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise
