Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead, Platform to join our team and lead the development of our best-in-class developer experience. As a key member of our engineering team, you will work closely with stakeholders to understand the business outcomes we're pushing toward and our operational cadences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead a team of software and data engineers to develop developer-friendly APIs that result in reliable, secure-by-default applications.
  • Collaborate with tech leadership and product counterparts to understand business needs and develop solutions.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify and prioritize features and projects that drive high-quality interventions for our members with cancer.
  • Build and maintain our infrastructure-as-code toolchain using Terraform and AWS.
  • Contribute to our Python codebase and develop constructs and developer APIs that deploy applications to Kubernetes using cdk8s.
  • Perform discovery with stakeholders to inform the roadmap for Thyme Care's platform-as-a-product.
  • Review architecture proposals from other teams and serve as a domain expert for infrastructure and platform.
  • Participate in our platform support rotation and triage features and support requests from engineering and data teams.
Requirements
  • Experience leading and growing high-performing teams and writing code in Python or a similar language.
  • Comfortable managing infrastructure in AWS using Terraform and familiar with Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of how to deploy, monitor, and scale web applications.
  • Experience working with data teams and ETL pipelines or a desire to learn.
  • Security mindset and ability to reason about the security implications of changes.
  • Empathy and ability to work closely with product engineering teams to understand their needs.
