Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented student to join our team as a Remotely Operated Platform Automation Student Intern. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, develop your skills, and contribute to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and deployment of remotely operated and autonomous platforms
  • Contribute to the design, testing, and evaluation of platform and sensor suite combinations
  • Develop communication methods for the operation of multiple units simultaneously and autonomously
  • Apply collected data and imagery into photogrammetric and LiDAR based models, digital twin and Building Information Models
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited bachelor's or master's degree program in any engineering discipline
  • Enrolled in and successfully complete a minimum of 12 undergraduate credit hours per semester (or equivalent of full-time enrollment)
  • Have and maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on 4.0 scale
Preferred Qualifications
  • Eagerness and demonstrated record of working as a member of small teams to accomplish tasks safely and efficiently
  • Experience designing, fabricating, and assembling electronic, mechanical, or robotic systems
  • Computer programming in support of engineering design, data acquisition, analysis, robot control, artificial intelligence or machine learning
Work Location

The work location for this position is telework and is located in Los Alamos, NM. Telework is defined as working from offsite but within 2 hours ground commute of this location. Reporting onsite may be periodically necessary.
