Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Traffic Engineer to join our dynamic team at HR Green. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative solutions to complex transportation projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct studies and field reviews to evaluate and apply engineering principles, standards, and criteria
  • Assist in preparing traffic operation analysis, traffic signal timing plans, traffic impact analysis, and transportation planning studies
  • Utilize various modeling tools for traffic analysis, including Synchro, VISSIM, and HCS
  • Perform road safety assessments, transportation corridor studies, traffic signal warrant studies, speed studies, and safety analyses
  • Design work zone traffic control plans, traffic signal design plans, and sign and marking design plans
  • Develop reports and supporting documentation
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited four-year or graduate engineering university in a relevant discipline
  • Two plus years of relevant experience
  • Proficient knowledge of office software (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Proficiency in VISSIM and Synchro is preferred
  • Proficient knowledge of traffic signal/ITS design is preferred
  • GIS and database management capabilities are a plus
