We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to join our team at the Southwest Tutoring Center. As an Adjunct Faculty member, you will play a vital role in providing academic support to students and contributing to the success of our institution.
Job Summary:This is a part-time, hourly position that will be used to staff the Southwest Tutoring Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for observing tutoring sessions, ensuring the safety and security of both tutors and students, and providing quality educational support.
Responsibilities:- Observe tutoring sessions to ensure quality educational support and student safety
- Develop and implement effective tutoring strategies to support student learning
- Collaborate with tutors and other faculty members to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment
- Participate in recruitment and articulation activities with local schools and colleges
- Master's degree in Education or English
- OR - The equivalent, with a demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students
- Experience working with diverse student populations
- Knowledge of curriculum development and implementation
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff
