Are you passionate about fostering teamwork and supporting the development of your colleagues and community? We are seeking a dedicated individual who excels in customer service, warmly greeting patrons, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues with professionalism.

Your role will involve taking customer orders, both over the phone and in-store, while maintaining a cheerful demeanor. You will also have the opportunity to showcase your creativity by decorating cakes and other baked goods, utilizing various techniques and custom designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Bakery Manager in overseeing daily operations, including merchandising, promotional execution, team engagement, and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor inventory levels by analyzing weekly sales data, managing product orders, and ensuring a successful end-of-period inventory count.
  • Support scheduling for all bakery staff, participate in training initiatives, recognize outstanding performance, and delegate tasks effectively to optimize team strengths and enhance departmental profitability.
  • Develop and implement merchandising strategies that align with financial objectives, staying informed about weekly promotions and pricing to ensure accurate production levels.
  • Assist in receiving and transporting merchandise to the sales floor or storage, adhering to best practices for product rotation and quality control.
  • Maintain a well-stocked and visually appealing bakery department to meet customer expectations and address concerns promptly.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a business or food service-related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of management experience in a retail, restaurant, or supermarket setting is required.
  • Previous experience in cake decorating is a plus.
