This role is pivotal in overseeing a well-established vendor management team that fosters essential business relationships with partners. The individual in this position will collaborate closely with vendors, affiliates, and business partners to ensure comprehensive third-party risk management oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the vendor lifecycle, which includes onboarding, monitoring, and issue resolution, ensuring compliance with relevant risk management guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with business partners and third-party vendors to align with business needs in delivering products and services.
  • Engage in sourcing and procurement activities related to new contracts, renewals, and amendments, providing guidance on risk mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate discussions with business partners and vendors regarding risk management deliverables to ensure adherence to enterprise and regulatory standards.
  • Comply with reporting requirements and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Gather data to create vendor scorecards that evaluate performance, addressing areas needing improvement directly with vendors.
  • Continuously update the vendor management tools with necessary documentation, risk assessments, and performance metrics.
  • Lead governance meetings focused on service level metrics and issue management, contributing to the ongoing evaluation of service quality.
  • Participate in vendor risk assessment discussions and manage subsequent actions with vendors.
  • Conduct governance meetings with business lines and vendors to address third-party vendor issues effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of experience in third-party risk management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in third-party risk management principles.
  • Comprehensive understanding of banking products and services.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing abilities across senior leadership levels.
  • Self-motivated individual capable of managing a demanding schedule and meeting deadlines.
  • Proficient in Excel, with experience in Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
