SSM Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Operations Manager to join our Hospice Care team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for coordinating daily operations, ensuring the implementation of clinical objectives, and providing quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management: Assign, direct, educate, and monitor nursing and support staff during assigned shifts, making patient and staff assignments. Complete and/or contribute to performance evaluations of staff, serving as a resource to the team.
- Patient Care Coordination: Manage patient flow within assigned areas, provide support and coordination for patient emergencies, and function as a clinical manager during operating hours.
- Quality Patient Care: Coordinate patient care and referrals, ensuring patient needs are continually assessed and individualized plans of care are developed, implemented, and updated. Evaluate the effectiveness of patient care and identify any issues that affect desired patient outcomes.
- Complaint Resolution: Respond to complaints about patient care and manage through established channels.
- Regulatory Compliance: May be the pre-designated manager and/or alternate administrator of a Medicare provider number during all operating hours, as assigned. When written authorization is obtained, may be designated alternate administrator, reviewing written administrator obligations and receiving appropriate orientation of responsibilities.
- Staff Development: May perform or provide input for hiring, training, directing, developing, and evaluating staff.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Experience: Two years' registered nurse experience, with demonstrated progressive leadership responsibility.
- Frequent Lifting/Carrying: Objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
- Frequent Sitting, Standing, Walking: Repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
- Frequent Use of Vision and Depth Perception: Distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
- Frequent Use of Hearing and Speech: Share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
- Frequent Keyboard Use/Data Entry.
- Occasional Bending, Stooping, Kneeling, Squatting, Twisting, and Gripping.
- Occasional Lifting/Carrying: Objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
- Rare Climbing.
- Frequent Driving.
