The Lead Cybersecurity Analyst at Ansys is instrumental in the enforcement of cybersecurity protocols and measures that align with Department of Defense (DoD) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) guidelines. The role encompasses executing vulnerability assessments, tracking the status of Plans of Action and Milestones, and delivering technical assistance for cybersecurity initiatives. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, complemented by substantial experience in cybersecurity within a DoD context. Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities are crucial for this position.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Execute vulnerability and compliance assessments
  • Monitor and report on vulnerabilities and non-compliant configurations
  • Gather information and documentation pertinent to NIST and NIST accreditation
  • Document advancements on sanctioned Plans of Action and Milestones
  • Conduct risk evaluations for system modifications
  • Oversee security toolsets for any malicious activities
  • Provide recommendations for Configuration Management
  • Assist in monitoring alerts and managing security apparatus
  • Support accredited systems and maintain security tools such as Nessus Security Center

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a comparable field
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in cybersecurity within a DoD environment
  • At least 5 years of experience in Information System Security Officer (ISSO) or Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) roles
  • Compliance with DoD Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II
  • Possession of DoD TS/SCI Clearances is mandatory
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills
  • Experience with government compliance and policy certifications
