Senior Principal Modeling and Simulation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Modeling and Simulation Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our Performance Simulation team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing high-fidelity simulations and models for missile design, performance assessment, and flight test support.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement modeling solutions for missile design and performance assessment
- Conduct trade studies and evaluate system and subsystem performance
- Work in a team environment, receiving inputs from team supervisors and providing guidance and/or direction to other team members
- Collaborate with Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC), Signal Processing, and other department personnel to perform simulation activities
- Work on diverse projects, determine and develop approaches and solutions, and provide development guidance throughout the product lifecycle from initial concept to fielded product
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM degree
- 10+ years of documented work and/or academic experience in modeling, simulation, statistics, or analysis for existing or proposed engineering solutions
- Experience programming in C, C++, or other high-order language and experience using MATLAB or Python for evaluation of data sets
- Experience developing or simulating physical systems
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related STEM degree
- Leadership experience managing others using applied system engineering principles, experience working on a team and by yourself, interfacing with multiple engineering disciplines, and developing and presenting technical briefings
- Experience developing signal processing/GNC algorithms or models for missile applications
- Experience with Control Hardware Design and Test, hardware/software integration, modeling physics and physical systems as related to flight dynamics
