Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Residential Driver to join our team at Waste Pro. As a Residential Driver, you will be responsible for operating a refuse collection vehicle on pre-assigned routes to collect garbage, yard waste, and recycling. You will also be responsible for overseeing the work of helpers assisting on assigned routes, performing pre-trip and post-trip truck checks, and cleaning the vehicle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a refuse collection vehicle on pre-assigned routes to collect garbage, yard waste, and recycling.
  • Oversee the work of helpers assisting on assigned routes.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip truck checks and cleaning.
  • Ensure garbage and recyclables are picked up and transferred properly.
  • Perform daily pre and post-trip inspections as set forth by Waste Pro procedures and D.O.T. guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean truck and wash the exterior weekly.
  • Perform a variety of manual duties in the clean-up of scattered refuse.
  • Prepare, maintain, and submit required company and regulation-mandated reports and documents.
  • Responsible for all persons working on the vehicle during the designated route.
  • Comply with all Department of Transportation and State requirements for operators of commercial motor vehicles.
Requirements
  • CDL Required
  • Physically able to push or pull independently (unassisted) 50 pounds between 800 and 1000 times a day.
  • Physically able to lift independently (unassisted) 50 pounds from the ground to waist height between 800 and 1000 times a day.
  • Physically able to get up and down from the cab of a commercial motor vehicle between 800 and 1000 times a day.
  • Physically able to bend at the waist and knees between 800 and 1000 times a day.
  • Physically able to work 8 to 12 hours in extreme weather conditions.
Work Environment

Works in a variety of environment conditions, including wide temperature and weather variations, including heat, cold, rain, wind; noise and vibrations, fumes, and odors.
