Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Residential Driver to join our team at Waste Pro. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely operating a refuse collection vehicle on pre-assigned routes to collect garbage, yard waste, and recycling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely Operate a Refuse Collection Vehicle: Drive a truck on pre-established routes in accordance with safe driving principles, collecting and dumping garbage and refuse into refuse trucks.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Provide a Distinguishably Different level of service through courteous and expeditious customer service in all aspects of refuse operation to the general public and customers.
  • Ensure Proper Waste Collection: Ensure garbage and recyclables at residences are picked up and transferred properly, and tag improper refuse containers and waste.
  • Perform Daily Inspections: Perform daily pre and post-trip inspections as set forth by Waste Pro procedures and D.O.T. guidelines, including inspection under hood, check under carriage, check fluid levels and air tires.
  • Maintain a Clean Truck: Maintain a clean truck and wash the exterior weekly, inspecting and cleaning the truck, lifting the hood, and checking under the carriage.
  • Perform Manual Duties: Perform a variety of manual duties in the clean-up of scattered refuse, moving and emptying large trash bins using truck hydraulics.
  • Prepare Reports: Prepare, maintain, and submit required company and regulation-mandated reports and documents.
  • Supervise Helpers: Responsible for all persons working on the vehicle during the designated route.
Requirements
  • CDL Required: Must have a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Physical Abilities: Physically able to push or pull independently (unassisted) 50 pounds between 800 and 1000 times a day, lift independently (unassisted) 50 pounds from the ground to waist height between 800 and 1000 times a day, get up and down from the cab of a commercial motor vehicle between 800 and 1000 times a day, bend at the waist and knees between 800 and 1000 times a day, and work 8 to 12 hours in extreme weather conditions.
Work Environment

Works in a variety of environment conditions, including wide temperature and weather variations, including heat, cold, rain, wind; noise and vibrations, fumes, and odors.
