Job Summary

The Logistics Coordinator provides daily oversight of orders for pulling and loading and staging of trees and shrubs that have been sold for transport.

Ensuring that the material is appropriately tagged for pulling and loading. Must have a thorough understanding of all aspects of the loading department including inbound/outbound orders and loads.

Ensuring the accuracy of quantity, species, specs and sizes against order pull sheet and packing list with every load and shipment.

Communicate regularly with the office and sales team for all loading department daily loads and duties.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
  • Tag trees and shrubs to be pulled and loaded.
  • Ensure quantity of pulled and loaded trees and or shrubs.
  • Confirm quantity of plant material with every inbound and outbound load.
  • Responsible for the communication of any damages, and quality of plant material to the office and farm manager and sales team.
  • Clarify and correct any discrepancies, claims, or damages that may occur from freight trucking and logistic companies.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic and ever-changing weather environment.
Qualifications
  • Must be Bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Must have a Valid FL Driver's License.
  • Must be detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask.
  • Must be able to work effectively under time constraints and exercise good judgment under pressure.
  • Must be self-motivated and have strong work ethics.
  • Must have a flexible work schedule, comfortable working in a team with changing weather conditions.
Work Hours & Physical Demands

Work can be repetitive and physically demanding, requiring frequent bending, lifting, sitting and walking.

Must be able to sit, stand, bend and walk for long periods of time.

Times when regular lifting and/or movement of product up to 75 pounds is required. Operation of heavy farm equipment machinery experience is a must.

Work Hours

Monday through Friday, start time at 7:00 AM and end times 5 PM. However, work hours may vary depending on logistical needs. May be required to work additional hours/days during peak times or as needed.

Job Site Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather (heat or cold), and moving mechanical equipment.
